Mungaya
appointed the new Deputy Secretary General Finance
The Executive Council
of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) has appointed Mr.
Loata Mungaya to become the Deputy Secretary General (DSG) for Finance
and Administration to replace Mr. Abel Mrema whose term ended in December
2014.

Before joining ELCT Head Office in January this year, Mr. Mungaya had attained a senior auditor position at Pricewaterhouse Cooper in Dar es Salaam 2001 -2005 and has worked as Assistant Finance Manager for Ker & Downey Safari in Arusha 2005 – 2009. He has worked as Finance Manager for Tanganyika Flying Company 2009 - 2011 as well as working as Group Internal Auditor for Orkonerei Maasai Social Initiative also in Arusha 2011 to October 2012.
Mr. Mungaya who was born on 30th June 1971 at Orkeeswa village in Monduli District holds a Master of Science (Finance and Investment) offered 2013 by Coventry University of London in the United Kingdom.
In 2007 he obtained a Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (ACPA -PP-T) offered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA). He successfully completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 2000 offered by the University of Dar es Salaam.
He is married to Miriam and together they are blessed with four girls.
