After reparing the telemetry unit of the Usambara transmitter ( see here) the telemetry data dissappeared again from the screen starting August.

The telemetry data showing which transmitter is right on air or not, are very vital for us to be sure the listerers get a good quality of service as possible.

You can even see those data here on this page under "technical" !

On the way back from installing the antenna in Morogoro we tried to reach the Usambara Tansmitter site on 27-11-2006.

Unfortunately the rain has destroyd the road between Lushoto and Mlalo causing many vedgetable lorries bound for Dar Es Salaam to get stuck.

We wanted to let one of the lorries get passed, when we slipped ourself in to the mud ditch and needed help of many people to get the car out again!

slowing following the slippery road we reached Mlalo at night.

It takes about two hours to get up the mountain. We found just the frequency disadjusted. The person servicing the booster must have touched it in August!

The same evening we tried to return to Lushoto leaving the slippery road behind us.

We slept in Irente and enyoyed sunrise at the Irente fiew point overlooking the road near Korogwe.
