Bringing new equipment up

The hut is still in the clouds !

On July 18th 2002 there was a meeting between the director of the Lutheran Radio Centre, one diocese representative and the local pastor with his evangelists. In this meeting the question about guarding the transmitter got solved.

Luka and his two watch men will guard the transmitter day and night! The costs will be shared by the diocese and the studio.

That gave us the chance to bring up the new transmitter onto the Kivesi hill. It had been donated by the Christians in Germany through the Northelbian Mission after many people her asked for it.

To Improve security the hut got reinfourced and the transmitter itself got locked into a well locked steel box.

There is still work left improving the power supply: The cable running up got attacked by teeth of wild animals and bush knives of people. It needs to get sealed again. And then we have to get our own power connection by the company.

But when we cane down again we were lucky, because all those millions of people can listen again to the Good News coming from Radio Voice of the Gospel in Moshi !
