Experience with the system

Nothing better could have happend to the hospital than this huge donation (150 000 DM) to solve the energy problem, where no public power supply is available.

Twice the system was out of order for several months because an defect on the solar regulator/ AC-converter control boards. Since no schematic diagram of those boards is available up to now, no local technitian could repair the expensive boards until a technician came from Germany and installed new ones.

The hospital does not know yet how to finance a battery replacement in five years to come. It is impossible to sqeeze such a high amout of money necessary to replace the batteries  into the annual budged!

Recycling of the used batteries is out of question at this remote place.

Would the hospital staff have had the option, may be they would have voted to put the money to a Swiss account and pay the diesel fuel of their generator for the years to come with its intest.
